Just 1 Inc. is a 501(c)3 faith-based nonprofit dedicated to Empower, Educate, and Equip underserved children and youth through individualized reading programs.
Our Read to Feed program provides books and hot meals to children annually in the Washington, DC metro area, Liberia, West Africa, and Jamaica.
We also offer mentorship, life skills training, and teacher workshops. Our belief in the “It Takes A Village” concept drives us to equip community leaders with tools for building successful readers.
Our scholarship programs, school supply donations, and Hilda’s Closet mobile outreach also support student success.
Our Wash Your Hands campaign promotes hygienic practices, improving children’s health status. We believe in the potential of each child to become a positive global impact leader.

Conwree, the CEO of Just 1 Inc., is deeply committed to transforming the lives of underprivileged children around the world, driven by a powerful mission to leave a legacy that reshapes their futures. With unwavering compassion, she serves as a leader in her family, church, and community, advocating for justice and human rights, especially for children without a voice.
Born in Liberia, West Africa, Conwree was moved by the suffering of children in her homeland, who endured the trauma of civil war and the devastation of the Ebola epidemic. These heartbreaking experiences ignited a desire to make a difference, helping one child at a time through mentorship, educational sponsorships, and vital programs for nutrition and clothing.
Known affectionately as Aunty Connie, Mama, or Ole Ma, Conwree’s deep love for children fuels her mission. Every day, she prays for the strength to continue sharing God’s love and making an impact. The smiles of the children whose lives she touches give her the strength and zeal to press on, regardless of the obstacles she faces.
A devoted mother to three exceptional children, Conwree is also lovingly known as the “Mother of Many,” as her care extends far beyond her family to children across the globe.
The following Bible verses inspire Conwree, fortifying her spirit and providing the drive to fulfill her calling:
Psalm 27 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall, I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.”
Psalm 37:25-26 – “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful and lends; and his descendants are blessed.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 25:35-40 – “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Philippians 4:12-13 – “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
